Under 15's return unbeaten from Edinburgh/Fife trip

Orkney’s Under 15 squad made an excellent start to their season as they returned unbeaten from their trip to Edinburgh and Fife at the weekend.

On Saturday the team played against St Augustine’s RC High School in Edinburgh. A second half Aiden Robertson goal gave Orkney a narrow 1-0 victory.

On Sunday Orkney were provided a tougher test by AM Soccer in Fife who are currently leading the Fife Development League Division 1.  AM took the lead but Orkney equalised through a 25 yard free kick from Andrew Mulraine, and shortly afterwards took the lead with a half volley from Aiden Robertson.  The Fife side equalised before half time. There was no further scoring in the second half and the game finished 2-2 for an excellent hard earned draw.

Overall, the weekend provided a stern test in both games and for Orkney to come away undefeated was an excellent achievement by everybody. Thanks to coaches, parents, players and opposition for their contributions to an enjoyable weekend, and to AM Soccer for providing food and refreshments after the game.
