Priorities

Public consultations inform the priorities chosen by the Orkney Partnership. 

The Partnership Board reviewed public comments and frontline experiences during 2020-21, coinciding and strongly influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic which brought particular challenges to Orkney’s economy and community that need urgent attention. 

In early 2021 The Orkney Partnership – reviewed and agreed new priorities. Ideas and suggestions refined in the review process were the subject of a public consultation in Spring 2021. Responses were overwhelmingly supportive of these three priorities, with many additional comments expanding and providing detail for the work of the Partnership in the coming two years. Partnership priorities for 2021-2023, as described in the Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP), are:

Sub groups set up by previous delivery groups and the Board are continuing to report into the relevant delivery groups.
