Milestone Matters

Milestone Matters  - 20th March

From the Manse:-

I know it’s early days with coronavirus, but how are you doing? Are your children now at home indefinitely? Is home schooling on the cards for you?  If you are older and without much family are you feeling that the world has forgotten about you?  Whatever your circumstances, remember you are NOT alone.  And if you are in need particularly in Milestone area – you don’t have to be a kirk member – or further out in Orkney, we have a team of volunteers ready to come to your aid, but we need to know what you need.  Call your elder, call me the minister,  shout to your neighbour, if there is one in earshot and don’t be too independent or too proud to ask for assistance.  My mother was one of the most capable women I knew, but she also knew how important it was for people to feel needed, so she often sat back and let us, her family, do things for her.  As Barbara Streisand sings,  ‘people who need people are the luckiest people in the world’  How true!  We must be there for each other, mustn’t we?

God says ‘I will never leave you or forsake you’  (Joshua 1 v 5)

May God’s blessings be with you all

Linda Broadley – your locum minister    ( tel 771599 )
