Do you have an idea that will make Stronsay a better place for everyone, under one of these themes:
Work and Local Economics,
Housing and Communities,
Influence and Engagement.
Do you need up to £5,563 to put your idea into action?
If the answer is “YES”! Then this could be your opportunity to make your idea happen!
VAO has been awarded funding from the Community Choices Fund to deliver the Your Island Your Choice 2 small grants programme - in which each of the island communities decide for themselves which projects are needed on their island.
Who can apply?
Any community/voluntary group, even informal groups can apply for funding up to £5,563
You don’t have to come from an existing group or constituted organisation to apply for funds but all the activities have to happen in Stronsay to benefit your community
Your ideas need to meet at least one of the identified themes
Your project must benefit as many people as possible
Your project must help make Stronsay a better place for everyone
How to Apply?
If your idea fits in with the identified themes, the community will vote for their favourite projects at an event to be held in Stronsay on Saturday 2nd March 2019. At that event you will be required to do a short 2 to 3 minute presentation to your community about your project/activity, the community will then vote to decide which applicants should receive funding.
Applications can be found online, via the Limpet, Stronsay Development Trust website, in hard copy from post office and shops.
Deadline for applications is: Friday 15th February
