EU Emblems Competition: How many EU Emblems can you find?

Search Orkney for any sign showing that the EU supported a project. Take a photo of it and send it in together with where you found it and (if you know) the project it supported. Entries will be judged on how many you can find and how good a photo you can take of the sign.

All photos will be displayed at the Dounby and County Shows on the shared Yes Orkney / SNP stand.

Remember to tell us where you took the photograph and (if you know) what project was being supported. Please use a separate email for each photo.

Orkney has received a great deal of support from the EU over the years. It helped fund many infrastructure projects as well as supporting farming in what is considered a "less favoured area," and other rural projects.

This is a competition to find and photograph the EU emblems on projects throughout Orkney.
You should make as many entries as you like. Each entry must be submitted in a separate email to [email protected].
The deadline for entries will be 5 pm on County Show day. (We will attempt to print and post entries received
during the shows if we can.)
There will be a prize of £100 for the most number of projects found. If there is a tie then the winner will be awarded to the best photo in the judge’s opinion.
Each entry will be printed on a separate A5 sheet and posted on a board at the Dounby and County shows. By submitting your photos you are giving the SNP and Yes Orkney the non-exclusive right to use your photo in anyway they like.
