Events Scheduled for 2022
The major events planned to be held, subject to Covid regulations, in 2022 are:
Tractor Working Day, Sunday 27th March 2022.
A chance to see that the older tractors are still capable of doing a useful job of work.
To be held on Sunday 27th March at Blackhall on St Ola by kind permission of the Stout family. Further details will be advertised on facebook and the press.

The Orkney Cavalcade 15th May An all day event for cars, motorbikes and commercials covering about 80 miles and taking in some places of interest. Details will be advertised nearer the time
Motorcycle Gathering, 18th June. We intend to hold a motorcycle gathering in Broad Street, Kirkwall on the afternoon of Saturday 26th June. We will advertise details in the Press nearer to the time.
Hoy Road Run Sunday 17th July. We intend to go to Hoy for a day out and visit the new Scapa Flow Museum. Please contact [email protected] to book a space on the ferry for your classic car and passangers. We have booked 20 spaces on the Houton to Lyness ferry that day for our trip. This is a change from the date on the Magazine as the Museum may not be open until the end of June.
Orkney Classic Motor Show 6th and 7th August. As well as the cars, commercials, tractors and motorbikes we have an indoor exhibition of interesting smaller artifacts and displays by collectors or clubs. This year we intend to celibrate the anniversary of the Ferguson Tractor, a year late, but should be a good display. We will advertise details nearer the time.

Science Festival 3rd September. Rally held on Broad Street in Kirkwall. Traditionaly there is a display of vehicles, tractors and engines. A jazz band plays and there is a pleasant carnival atmosphere to the event. There will be stalls promoting Orkney Food and more modern electric vehicles will attend. This was a virtual event in 2020 and 2021 but we will be keen to get back on Broad Street this year.
Road Run September. This event will be held on a Sunday in September to be advised, and will visit some places of interest before concluding with a meal at a local hotel. Exact details will be anounced nearer the time.
