U3A Scrabble Update
The group continues to meet in the Town Hall-each Friday-it is super that we have had a few new members try us-our new venue allows to grow ,with plenty of room-
We pay 1£ weekly for the use of the room-
A few new words (to some of us)
Pommee-a style of cross
Rattoon-a shoot growong near the top of a plant
Killcow-a bully
Heyduck -a guerilla warrier
Addoom-to award
Nunchuck-weapon used in martial arts
Rellies-relatives
Bereau-trellis
Vauch-move fast-
We would like to see anyone else who enjoys a game-we are of all abilities -some are tournament level and some struggle- such a s myself-but we all enjoy a good brain workout and a few laughs-
Some come weekly-others turn up occasionally-
