Music Appreciation Group

The U3A music group met on the 6th March-a very depleted group-due to viruses and travel-
We had a very interesting couple of hours though-reminiscing about quite some years ago!
Our theme was memory-always a good topic for us "oldies"!-Down memory lane we went-childhood and youth in Australia,Hull,Kent,America.Leeds,The highlands-London.
Included in our selection were-Eric Coates-Knightsbridge March( Remember " Down your Way"?)
Meditation from Thais,The Trout 5tet,Dafydd Garreg Wen,
Vila,Satie,Dust Bown ballades,La Traviata,and Rady Lupu-playing Schubert Impromtu-memories of the Leeds Piano competition in "69.
We have so much material that we have decided to continue the same theme in out next meeting-
We meet on the first Monday morning of each month-
Anyone is very welcome to join us-
