BIRD WALK OCTOBER

by Ken O'Connor - 20:17 on 16 October 2013

Hi All who were out today and to those who missed our outing –you don't know what you missed!!!!!!.

The Birdie group had a coastal walk from Warbeth back to Stromness with good success with sightings of nearly all the usual species found on the shore at this time of the year, It was just a pity that the weather forecast was not accurate and stay dry , as was driving drizzle for the latter half of the walk which somewhat spoiled being able to linger to view Hoy sound and all that there is along the shore. All was not lost as nearly all warmed up with a bowl of soup at Ramie's cafe before heading off home.

Many thanks to all and looking forward to the November outing which will be an interesting trip to Shapinsay , so keep the date free 20th Nov. More on this nearer the time.

Ken
