Photography Blog in Tim’s absence

The first thing is to wish Tim’s daughter well with all our hopes that the complications with her pregnancy get sorted and everything goes well.

We met at Houton on what some might call a brisk bracing day – others might say it was BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR cold in the wind.  We all recalled how long Tim has been trying to get us to Houton and we were all sorry he couldn’t make it this time. Folk split up to see what was to be seen and to take their shots whether it was up on the brae or down by the harbour.   However after an hour we were all happy to call it a day and head for the Standing Stones where we took tea.

The shots of Finstown went round first and there was a good variety there.  The humour ones followed and it’s fair to say that some of our number struggled a bit with them but we made it.

The next meeting is on Wednesday 29 May at Burwick.  There is a number of possible themes ranging from the lightning strike on the kirk through the Tomb of the Eagles to the cliff walks.

The theme meantime is cutlery.  The aim is to improve skills in getting sharp shots and well-focused close ups.

So this is a rather briefer blog from me in Tim’s absence.  We hope to see him next time.

Richard
