Botanical group-betweeny trip

Yesterday the Botanical group were out on their now annual betweeny trip....between Christmas and New year...four folk had a lovely walk in near perfect conditions at the three stones.....Brodgar, Stenness and of couse the Hotel.....lovely lunch of soup and sandwiches....three plants in flower, daisy, chickweed and annual meadow grass. Mute swans, hen harriers and assorted ducks. delightful company and gentle banter...and we chose the right day..weather downhill today....
