The church has Fairtrade status with an active Traidcraft group. Having Fairtrade status means that we are using Fairtrade tea and coffee after services and in all meetings for which the church has responsibility.
Our next step will be to provide only Fairtrade biscuits and use fairly traded ingredients whenever possible in our home bakes.
We are moving forward on using other Fairtrade products - have a look at the Traidcraft stall or browse the Traidcraft catalogue as you may discover something new – eg the first ever fair trade rubber gloves for washing up and gardening.
Fair trade is continually promoted through events, worship and other activities, particularly during Fairtrade Fortnight as part of Orkney Fairtrade Group.
