Time running out for darts entries
ENTRIES are very slow in coming in for the new season of the Kirkwall and District Darts League and there is less than a fortnight to go, as the entry date is the first of September, with the AGM being held on Thursday, September 3, in the Royal British Legion Club, at 8pm. At present, only 11 teams have collected registration books and they must be returned to the secretary by the closing date to be included in the fixture list. Surprisingly, there has been no interest from Quoyburray, who had three teams last year, also no Shore, Murray Arms or Untouchables ‘A’ teams as of yet, and remember only four players are needed to form a team. As it stands, only one league will be played. Some names are required for committee duties during the season. Names to the secretary by the AGM night. Team captains are requested to put their contact phone numbers on the registration books next to their names. It helps to get games arranged.
