Executive group

There are five partners with a statutory duty to facilitate community planning, as listed in Schedule 1 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015:

• Orkney Islands Council
• NHS Orkney
• Police Scotland
• Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE)
• Scottish Fire and Rescue Service

The Executive group meets in advance of Board meetings – approximately every two months – to prepare the Partnership Board meeting agenda, ensure reports are delivered, and to resolve any governance issues arising. For specialist business, representatives of organisations outwith the Partnership may occasionally be invited to attend.
