We would particularly like news stories from Orphir folk from around the world so if you have logged on from far afield please send us your news.

The site contains an events calendar giving details of all local happenings. Copies of any documents, such as the minutes of the Orphir & Scapa Community Council, The Community Association and the current school newsletter, will be found in the library.

Member organisations are listed and, as agreed by the Committee, are asked to provide details of their activities to Hugh Halcro-Johnston, at Orphir House (Tel: 811200) or as e-mail attachments so they can be accessed through the site.

We hope that this site will become part of COMMUNITY PLANNING for Orkney allowing all members of the Community to have their say in how services should be planned and provided. Please let us have your ideas as to how best to do this. We want to make sure that ideas for service improvements come from those most affected. So please make your views known.!
