Island of Hoy Development Trust
Salary: £24,000 per annum - 30 hours per week
The Island of Hoy Development Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced project manager to enhance and develop the goals of the Trust and the community. The position is based on Hoy starting from March 2014. This post is fixed term for two years.
For this challenging opportunity, the Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to:
• Identify, develop and deliver a wide range of projects that will contribute to the development of Hoy as an economically, socially and culturally prosperous community
• Identify and secure funding to support the goals of the Development Trust and the community.
• To effectively manage the Island of Hoy Development Trust’s resources and staff.
The successful candidate will be expected to have experience of managing projects and people, and the ability to communicate effectively with the Board of Directors and the community of Hoy and Walls. Good financial analysis and planning skills would also be desirable, together with experience of working with voluntary boards and leading community based enterprises. The applicant must hold a full driving licence or have access to transport through a relevant disability scheme.
