Welcome to the Holm Sailing Club web site

Holm Sailing Club is based in the village of St. Mary's. Points racing is held during the summer in Snipe dinghies on Tuesday evenings.

Local News

The 2021 Holm Sailing Club points racing had light weather for points races on 13 July. Seven boats took part in three races. Check the results here. Points racing will continue through the summer on Tuesday evenings.

Longhope Regatta was cancelled for 2021. Stromness Regatta was scheduled for 17 July but has been postponed due to forecast strong winds.

Burray Regatta was held on 10 July, a superb event sailed in light conditions. More details here.

Racing for the Frozen Food Tankard took place on 15 July in Stromness. Three Holm Boats took part, the event was won by Mark Taylor sailing Skeldro. More details to follow.

Club News

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Mayday mile fundraiser. The event raised £221.91 for the RNLI.

The club had a midnight sail for the summer solstice, meet at 10pm at St. Mary's. More details here.

A fundraising drive is underway to replace the club safety boat. Check out justgiving.

Island Games: Guernsey will host the 2023 Island Games. Orkney is due to host the 2025 event.
