Drop #3 - lets get into it!!
The next wave of bands hitting Orkney Rock Fest this September are loud, raw, and ready to rip:
𝗧𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗢𝗭𝗘𝗥 – Shetland’s undisputed kings of groove metal.
With thunderous riffs, commanding vocals and a stage presence that levels rooms, these guys deliver pure, unrelenting power with every set.
𝗖𝗢𝗪𝗕𝗢𝗬 𝗛𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 – Central Belt punks with a bold, genre-bending sound.
This fierce duo blend gritty, shout-along hooks that’s earned them spins on BBC 6 Music. Brash, brilliant, and unapologetically themselves.
𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡 𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥 – Heavy, hook-laden rock from Shetland.
Their sound is intense and immersive, with a live presence that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Loud, honest and built to shake the walls.
𝟰𝘁𝗵–𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿
Get ready, folks – it’s going to be loud!

Orkney Live Wire is a group of music enthusiasts who aim to promote and support live music in and around the county.
Orkney Live Wire rallied together in the summer of 2014 to organise Orkney's first Rock Festival, held in early Sept 2014- the festival was a massive success showcasing local artists and along with visiting acts from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Shetland and inspired the organisers to continue in their promotion of live music throughout the Orkney Islands.
Upcoming events
As well as the Festival. Orkney Live Wire promotes gigs throughout the year, notably on County Show night, at Halloween, the New Year, and other times the fancy takes us. Keep an eye on our News and Events pages for what is coming up.
Any profits are wholly reinvested in encouraging live music in Orkney. We've invested in PAs, drum kits, and bass and guitar cabs to make it easier to organise gigs and attract visiting bands.
