Darts 'Do' coming up

On the domestic front, it’s the presentation night this Friday, April 27, in the Masonic.

So, if you have a cup or trophy to collect, come along but remember entry is by ticket only. Tickets from the secretary Jim Scollie or from Kairds.

Next Friday (May 4) it’s the Ladies and Gents Charity Doubles in the Masonic at 7.30 p.m.

It’s hoped that the Mintlaw team, from Aberdeenshire, will be up.

Enter with a partner or just come along and maybe a partner can be found.

The proceeds from the darts and raffles goes to help the Belarus children who visit Orkney every year.

Then, on May 11, it’s the very popular fun game, the Tattie Bogle Mixed Doubles Shield.

It’s names out of the hat, so come along and have fun and there’s the little matter of a raffle.

A week later, it’s the first of the qualifying games to find players to take on the professionals at the Orkney Darts Classic.

It’s in the Masonic Club on May 18, at 7.30 p.m.

Remember, it’s open, so any player, male or female, can enter.

There will be a committee meeting on Wednesday, May 2, in the Masonic, at 8 p.m.

RESULTS

Lerwick Ladies 11, Kirkwall Ladies 7; Shetland 10, Orkney (K-DDL) 11.
