Untouchables on top

A quieter week in the KDDL season after a hectic few weeks of cup action saw only league matches being played. The Legion and Untouchables are still neck and neck at the top of the 'A' league, with Untouchables moving slightly ahead due a better game difference following a crushing victory over Sanday. The Legion overcame the Golf Club 8-4 while Exiles had a good win over the Bilco Boys, who continue to put up a courageous fight in what is a difficult year for them.

The top two in the 'B' league met in the Hope last Tuesday, but a draw was the result between the Murray Arms and Tankerness. The Muppets, Sands and Quoyburray all remain just about within reach of the promotion places following wins over Young Loons, Skippers and Vikings respectively. The Shandy Bass resurgence continues at pace, registering their second win a row with a fine victory over an experienced Shapinsay side.
