Orkney Community Justice Partnership
The Orkney Community Justice Partnership is responsible for the local planning and delivery of Community Justice. Legislation has recently been introduced, transferring this responsibility from the existing eight regional Community Justice Authorities, to 32 local area Community Justice Partnerships across Scotland. The redesign in which Community Justice services are provided allows delivery, partnership, co-ordination and collaboration to remain at the heart of Community Justice planning at a local level. The Orkney Community Justice Partnership aims to promote effective engagement and participation to help communities achieve greater control and influence in the decisions and circumstances that affect their lives, as per the The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.

Northern Community Justice Authority (NCJA)
Before the establishment of Community Justice Partnerships, Performance was reported by 8 regional Community Justice Authorities across Scotland, one of which was the Northern Community Justice Authority. An agreed Regional Performance Framework for the north of Scotland has been used for the last 10 years to report changes and developments of Community Justice work in Orkney.
