For a look at Orkney nature and a smorgasbord of local language, Orkney Voices have tramped the local hills and shores, written about the nature they've seen, recorded their work in their good Orcadian voices, gathered images and videos and put them together for you to enjoy.
Rewilding: Brodgar Poetry/Sound Walk
Where: Around the Ring of Brodgar and along the path down to Stenness Loch and back. Alternatively, you can access online.

'Rewilding', recordings of a poetry/sound work, celebrates and laments the fate of endangered birds and other species at Brodgar. It is a site specific work best listened to on your own smart phones and your own headphones as you walk around the Ring of Brodgar and down the path to Stenness Loch and back. Download in advance. Alternatively you can listen online at any time during the festival.
Poet Stephanie Green and (Sound Artist) Sonja Heyer also include contributions from locals, Ingrid Leonard (Orcadian words) and Lucy Alsop (singer).

During Orkney Nature Festival week there will be additional information about some of the wildlife that could be seen at Skara Brae 5000 years ago. There will also be a kids I-spy quiz and binoculars will be available to help people spot some of the wildlife that can be seen around the site today.
