Holm Sailing Club is based in the village of St. Mary's. Points racing is held during the summer in Snipe dinghies.

Local News

Of the Local Regattas only the Kemp Cup remains for 2019, scheduled for 7 September.

Burray Regatta was held on 6 July in fine sailing conditions followed by Stromness Regatta on 13 July. Longhope Regatta race summary can be found here.

Mark Taylor and Anna Southall win the Snipe trophy as well as the allcomers sailing Skelrdo at the 70 year Anniversary Holm Regatta on 20 July. Full results are available here.

Mark Holbrook cleaned up at Westray Regatta sailing a Laser (Enron) on 27 July.

Moonstone sailed by Andrew Leslie and Joshua Brown wins the Frozen Food Centre trophy.

Orkney Sailing Club is celebrating it's 130th anniversary this year, Kirkwall Regatta was held on 3 August in light conditions. More details to follow... Smyril won a lot of the silverware.

Club News

The Tuesday evening points racing is now complete with the winner Emma Thomson and Mark Causer sailing Tippy. Tuesday evening racing finished off on 13 August with the Under 21 trophy, well done to Kyle Brown for taking the trophy! results can be seen here.

The 2019 UK Snipe National Championships was hosted by Bala Sailing Club, Wales. Congratulations to Alan Williams and Liz Pike who won the event.

The Natwest International Island Games: Gibraltar hosted the 2019 Island Games. Orkney is due to host the 2023 event. The next Island Games will be Guernsey in 2021.
