Festive Singles on Friday

Commodores still lead the Williamsons ‘A’ League going into the last game of the first half. A 9-3 win over Quoyburray ‘B’ ensured they kept their two point advantage over the Golf Club who had two very good results by beating Quoyburray 9-3, and then taking out Sanday 8-4.
The defeat drops Sanday down to fourth place but six points off the top spot.
The big winners were the Legion — 10-2 over Untouchables —and they move up into third spot.
Quoyburray didn’t fare any better in their second game as they lost out 8-4 to RBLM.
Top score of the week went to Wanderers who were 11-1 winners over Sands ‘2’.
There was also a big 10-2 win for Untouchables ‘A’ over Nomads.

The Williamsons ‘B’ League has reached the half way stage except for a couple of postponed games which have to be played by next week, otherwise the games will be declared null and void and no team will receive any points.
St Ola stay on top and remain undefeated after a 9-3 defeat of the Bilco Boys but the big surprise was the 9-3 defeat of Murray Arms by the Shore.
It drops them down to third spot. It was a busy time for the Shore boys as they played their catch up games and won them all — 10-2 over Shapinsay and 8-4 against Tankerness; who beat the Motorhoose 8-4.
In their second game the Legion Arrows are in second spot after beating Shapinsay 8-4, and that leaves Shapinsay second bottom, just ahead of Muppets who had a good 7-5 win over Masonic.
