WALKING GROUP 2 – JANUARY WALK
Despite poor weather at the beginning of January were very lucky on Monday 26th when ten of us met for a 4.5 mile walk. We started at the Cemetery at Warbeth, after a short section of the coastal path, we turned left to walk up to the Outertown road and then continued on the Heather Braes road for about two miles, with great views over to Hoy. Heading down again to the Outertown road for a short distance and turning right at the site of the new cable pipes and back to the cars for a cuppa and cake. We had the wind at our backs for most of the walk and it only rained just as we were leaving. A good walk with good company.
Walks typically take place on the first Monday of each month. If the weather causes a cancellation, the event shifts to the second Monday instead. Since our last walk was at the end of January, the upcoming walk is scheduled for 9 February; I’ll provide more information as we get closer. If the weather conditions are favourable the March walk will be held on the 2nd
