U3A Walking Group - February 2020

Fifteen of us congregated at Skaill on a rather more blustery day than forecast. We then took cars to Yesnaby where the drizzle had stopped and we set off at a brisk pace to the Broch at Burrian, then along the cliffs back to Skaill.
The rain kept off and the wind eased but no sun. It was wet and muddy in places underfoot and, apart from one minor fall, we managed all the stiles, the barbed wire fence and even the stones up and down to the beach. Safely back, we set off and had lunch in Stromness.
The next meeting will be on THURSDAY 5th MARCH.
