Six intrepid souls met at the Round Church in Orphir today to walk around the coast to Gyre and back.

 

The Viking replica Ship outside the visitor Centre was back on even keel after the gales. The bridge over the burn was mended a while ago so no wet feet. Along the shore Gannets were diving as were two Red Throated Divers. Gyre wood gave some respite from the wind which was strong but the rain never materialized. Walk completed we finished with coffee, cakes and tiffin at Westbank.

 

The next walk will be THURSDAY 25 th October. We will look at doing the previously planned Wideford Hill walk but will see what the weather is going to be before finalizing the venue.
