PHOTOGROUP ONE

by Tim Wright - 21:20 on 21 September 2016

Ten of us made it to Corrigall Farm Museum this afternoon in glorious sunshine .As usual there was lots to photograph from  old farm implements to animals ,Byres and peat fires ,box beds and Herring Heads and many other things in between .We all eventually made it to Barbara's house where a sumptuous tea awaited .Of course, it was essential to taste as many of the cakes as possible, just to check that they tasted right and they most certainly did ! Many thanks to Barbara for all her wonderful baking and hospitality .

Photos of the trip to Stronsay and Papa Stronsay were perused .There were some terrific landscapes and photos of the beautifully decorated Chapels and their contents. The animals featured a lot too  from Bulls to Donkeys and Jersey Cow to Tame Geese and then finally some Sparrows on a Boat House . It was all a magical reminder of a fascinating day spent with some very pleasant but dedicated people .Many thanks to them and all who contributed .

"Sunlight " was the monthly project .We had lots of entries with Sunsets and sun beams through the clouds featuring heavily .Sun on objects and through objects and on landscapes ,trees and flowers too were to the fore .Excellent interpretations by everyone who took part .

The next meeting is on Wednesday 26th Oct at 10.30 at Olad's Wood in South Ronaldsay meeting at Olad's Summit by the view point, as the parking is limited at the wood.Lunch to be taken locally when we see what the weather is doing nearer the time .A wet weather alternative will be thought of if it looks as bad as the last time we tried to visit Olad's Wood !

Keep Clicking ,

Tim
