Music Group - 1st August

We met on Monday the 1st August-chez Glenys who had chosen for her topic" Performers who have performed here in Orkney",Over the years we have had many world class players visit here-and it was great to remember and to hear anecdotes of their visits-
A small selection of the performers we listened to were -
Evelyn Glennie,James Galway,Glasgow Phoenix Choir,Edie Drever,the Wallace Collection,Greg Lawson,the Boyer Ensemble of Kiev.Emma Kirkby,Ailish Tynan,Chris Stout,
So interesting was the meeting ,we decided to continue with the same topic next time,which will be ,as usual,on the first Monday of the month( September)
An added bonus was Glenys"s scrumptious chocolate cake !
