Play Reading

by John Graham - 15:05 on 06 April 2015

We are thriving, there are only seven in the pic; there is an eighth, he's taking the pic. It was a special for the celebration of the birth of Mr. William Shakespeare. Next year we aim to celebrate his life on the anniversary of his death. We each chose a piece of his work, either a speech we liked from plays or sonnets We meet fortnightly, and alternate between locations. Jeanne is the play selector taking ideas from all members of the group. We read round in rotation. In the past twelve months we have read amongst other plays; 'Pygmalion', 'Blythe Spirit', 'The Three Sisters', 'A View from the Bridge', 'A Country Wife', 'A Comedy of Errors', where plays are proving difficuly to follow; as that last one is, we resort to viewing a dvd of the play in addition to reading it.
