The top seven results from each club were summed to give a total of 152 points for Holm and 178 points for the visitors, Holm Sailing Club was declared the winner. The trophy was presented by Freddy Johnstone of Stromness Sailing Club, the trophy was received by Ilona Foubister and Joshua Brown, the two youngest competitors from Holm Sailing Club.

On Tuesday 7th August eight snipes raced in St. Mary's for the last of the Summer points sailing series. Two races were held.

Only six boats were racing in St. Mary's on Tuesday 24th July but the competition was as close as ever. The very light and fickle Westerly breeze gave a drift around the short course for the first race. A short course of 5 to 6 to finish was sailed. Despite the tricky conditions the first three finishers all finished within ten seconds of each other, with Neil Foubister's Fiddlesticks crossing the line first. By the time of the 2nd race the breeze had moved to the South although it was still very light and shifty, the course was changed to 6 to 1 and finish. In the third race the breeze had settled to the South giving fine racing conditions. Siesta seemed to get away with a great start, unfortunately she was over the line and had to go back. Moonstone took a lead in the first leg and finished the race well ahead of the others.

There were light winds and evening sun for the nine Snipes that took to the water in Holm for points racing on 10th July. Leighton Venables in Siesta did not have a crew but sailed single-handed and capitalised on the reduced weight and light winds to finish ahead in both races, although his excellent sailing did not win him a position in the races. It was close racing and for a few minutes during the 1st race 5 boats sailed side by side, each nudging ahead as they caught a following wave to surf into the lead for a few moments each as they all ran to the 3rd mark.

In the first race Boreus just managed to keep ahead of Skeldro by 7 seconds to take first place and again finished ahead of Skeldo by 3 seconds in the 2nd race, although Smurf had finished almost 2 minutes ahead to win convincingly. There was also only 1 second between Rio and Hamba for 4th and 5th place. By the third race the wind was dropping away and so a decision was made to call it a day. Some took advantage of the earlier finish to freshen up with a brief swim.

Ten snipes turned out for the racing on Tuesday 19 June. Course 8 was sailed, which had a short beat from the start followed by a broad reach, a run then a long beat from the Glimps Holm Pier mark back up to number five and then a short run back to the finish. The first beat was a shifty affair along the shore, which allowed boats to make or lose lots of places in a short stretch. Neil Foubister and his son Glen sailing No Fear got a good lead early in the first race and held on to the end. In the second and third races Mairi Fleet and Alan Donaldson sailing Smurf showed good boat speed and won both races with No Fear close behind.

Aquamania won the third race with Kontiki second and Moonstone close behind in Third. Hamba hit a rock near the point of ness in the first race, then retired with an injured crew.

5 June: A moderate South Easterly flow of air provided superb conditions for the six snipes taking part in Tuesday evening's points racing. Course four was sailed. The first beat into the shifty breeze coming over Lamb Holm provided lots of overtaking possibilities, the racing was close. In the second race Kontiki capsized at the first gybe mark but managed to be back racing for the third race.

29 May: A fine Northerly breeze of about 10kts and bright sunshine provided great conditions for the Tuesday evening points racing at St. Mary's. Nine snipes turned out for the racing, although Moonstone was a bit disorganised and only managed to compete in the last of three races. No Fear won the first two races. Moonstone won the third race, while No Fear was close behind in 2nd. Boreus missed the second race due to gear failure, losing her tiller extension.
