At The Loom | Colour and Weave

by India Johnson - 09:57 on 24 April 2020

This week at the loom, we've been prepping for a colour and weave, log cabin sample. This is another plain weave structured fabric, but we're bringing in the pattern through colour. This means that you can weave this on a two shaft or rigid heddle loom at home.

We've used pink and red for our sampler, which you can see below. We're hoping it's going to create some beautiful patterns and textures for our latest samples. We've begun by beaming the warp on to the loom, so hopefully it will be ready for weaving later on today! Once it's woven, we'll be posting the warping sequence so you can have a go for yourself at home.
