DIRECTORS TO COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY
We are looking to recruit Directors to join an exciting new community business venture that aims to support the work of Orkney Disability in what is a critical time for the organisation. Directors will take the lead in creating a Community Interest Company that will allow the organisation to trade with the specific aim of proving benefit to the community. The new company will meet the challenges of the 21st Century by becoming more sustainable and relying less on grant aid by operating transport and other services. Directors are responsible for governance of the company including finance, publicity and administration. As such, Directors must be willing to commit not only to 6-weekly committee meetings, but also to contributing at a more operational level. They will be assisted in the first instance by staff and volunteers already in post at Orkney Disability Forum. Do you have experience of working in partnership and wish to give something back to the community? We are looking for people with experience in logistics, business, marketing, training, management or other with skills that could advance this project. If you are interested in finding out more about how you could help, please contact Hazel Aim on 870340, or email her on [email protected]
