A warm welcome to

the East Church!

We are a Church of Scotland eco-congregation. We are linked with Shapinsay Church of Scotland and partnered with Bindula Parish – Bindula, Nahache and Ntundama congregations – in the Presbytery of Thyolo in Malawi. Our priorities are worship and outreach.

Kirkwall East meet every week at 11:15 am. 

Offering is collected on plates resting on small tables in the upper vestibule.  

Words for hyms and responses are projected onto the wall but the hymnbooks are available too.

There are severla parking lots around the church - on the street opposite the church and King Street car park (enter from King Street or Thoms Street). 

We have a ramp accessible for wheelchairs and prams on the right hand side of the church's main entrance. There are also handrails there as well as at the front door steps. Easy access toilet is located on the left (behind the lift) immediately as you enter the building. Baby changing facilities are at the back of the building, in the corridor between the Hub and the Garden Room. There is a lift taking you to the Upper Room (our worship space) should you need it.
