THE HORNE PHOTOGRAPHIC ARCHIVE

The Photographic Archive began in May 2012 as result of a public poll voting for heritage projects on the island. The archive is funded by a bequest from the estate of the two bachelor Horne brothers who farmed at Warsetter; hence the name The Horne Photographic Archive. The archive is run by the Sanday Community Association, and was offically launched in April 2013.

The archive can be viewed at the Heritage Centre in Lady village, Sanday, where there are additional photographs from SCRAN (Scottish Cultural Resources Access Network).

It is possible to buy A4 copies of most of the photographs. Copies cost £2.00 + p&p. To order please use the 'Feedback' form.

All the information accompanying the photographs was given by the contributors, however, if you have any corrections, extra information, or comments on the images, please contact us using the feedback form.

If you have any photographs you would like to share with us please contact us using the feedback form, and we will advise you of the process and best way to get your photographs to us so we can copy it into our archive.

All contributors are listed in the documents folder in the Library page, under Donor List.

The archive and website are managed by Sheena Evans and Andrew Thompson.
