Dial-a-Bus is seeking redress from the Orcadian over their reporting of an item at an OIC meeting this week. The OIC have a budget for concessionary fares which pays for a free trip each week, for Dial-a-Bus members and for other concessions on Orkney Ferries. The OIC were considering a slight overspend in this budget. The Orcadian, however, had reported it as if Dial-a-bus was "cash strapped". This is not the case, said Dial-a-Bus coordinator, Jack Moodie, "they have implied something totally untrue". He will ask them to correct this in next weeks paper.
