Escape the world of politics for a few hours and join us for a walk on Shapinsay. We will have a look at the wildlife in and around the village of Balfour, before making our way to the hide at Mill Dam RSPB reserve and onto Vasa Loch for our picnic lunch. We will return by the same route and with time to stop at the shop for a hot drink before getting the ferry home. Please wear warm, waterproof clothing, walking boots or wellies, and take a packed lunch, flask, binoculars and camera.

The ferry departs Kirkwall at 9.45am and returns from Shapinsay at 3.15pm (still plenty time to vote before/after). Meet at the Shapinsay slip at 9.30am Ferry fare £8.80/£4.40.
