We’ll take the 9.30am boat from Stromness to Moaness (returning on the 4.30pm boat), go via minibus to Rackwick and walk towards the Old Man, hopefully spotting mountain hares in their white winter coats along the way and maybe detouring off the path for some better views. We will also look out for any eagle activity. We may return to Rackwick round Rora Head. Some rough walking may be involved, so please wear suitable footwear, warm and waterproof clothing and bring a picnic, money for the boat and bus and maybe camera and binoculars.
