The Royal Society have announced the 15 successful projects that its Local Heroes scheme will fund. These grants go to small museums across the UK, to explore the lives and legacies of scientists with close connections to their communities, and we are pleased to announce that we were one of the recipients.
Celebrating the life and work of Charles Clouston
Born in Orkney in 1800, Rev Dr Charles Clouston was a true local hero. He had broad scientific expertise in natural history, archaeology, geology and meteorology, and is a founding member of the Orkney Natural History Society. We will be celebrating his life and work.
