Welcome to the Holm Sailing Club website. Holm Sailing club is based in the village of St. Mary's. Points racing is held during the summer in Snipe dinghies.

If you have any old photos of sailing in St. Mary's please contact Brendan Fletcher on 07796523736, he is making up a photo history of the club.

News

The Kemp Cup was held on Saturday 27th September, Davy Sabiston and Mike Swanney won the event, sailing the 505 Best Kens.

Holm Regatta was held on Saturday 16th August. Barbarian, sailed by the Pottinger brothers did well winning the Allcomers and Mixed Centreboard trophies. Some Photos are available on Flikr. See the Holm Regatta page for detailed results.

The Stromness/Holm Inter Club Regatta was hosted by Stromness on Sunday 7th September, Stromness won the event.

The boats page has been updated to include all Orkney sailing dinghies. If any of the details are incorrect, or if you have any photos you would like to see included please let me know.

World News

The 2009 Island Games will be hosted by Åland, near Sweden. Lasers (Radial and Standard rigs) will be used in the sailing event.

Brendan Fletcher has made up a DVD of photos he has taken. Most of the photos are of Holm Snipes in 2007. These discs can be bought for two quid, contact Andrew Leslie if you want a copy.
