We may be best known for Dial-a-Bus We run a number of services, all with the aim of improving the lives and opportunities for disabled people in Orkney.
For disabled people in Orkney who would like to be a bit more independent (perhaps get out and about a bit more), our Dial-a-Bus service and our Shopmobility scooter hire offers transport solutions that could probably change your life.
Dial-a-Bus is our largest service, and is expanding steadily. Training. We specialise in delivering training for minibus drivers. We deliver MiDAS training and MEEP training, both essential elements of a training package for your minibus drivers. Visit the page to find out more about the content and the dates we can deliver training in 2009 Shopmobility is a nationally recognised symbol for the provision of wheelchairs and scooters. We run the Orkney version, where you can try out, hire or buy equipment to help you get out and about in the community. Need a RADAR key? Or looking for a Blue Badge? We offer a range of advice on services and equipment, on access and on transport. The Access Panel is an independent voice in Orkney, seeking to improve access for disabled people in public spaces and buildings. We hope you will browse the site widely and contact us if you have any interest in our services. Hazel Aim (Co-ordinator, Orkney Disability Forum) |
