Royal Oak 76th Anniversary Commemoration

The weather stayed fair for events today commemorating the 76th anniversary of the sinking by U-47 in Scapa Flow of the battleship HMS Royal Oak and the deaths of 834 of the sailors aboard.  The Northern Diving Group closed off their annual visit to inspect the wreck and change out the ensign on it, by attending the memorial service held at Scapa Garden of Remembrance and on boats visiting the wreck site today.  Description of the commemorative events, with a couple of photos, can be seen by downloading the web page on the link below.
