Anzac Day 2013 in Orkney

To commemorate Anzac Day 2013 yesterday, a small delegation from Kirkwall Royal British Legion visited St. Olaf's Cemetery.  They left a wreath on the grave of one of the four Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve pilots who are buried there.  All four died in aircraft accidents while flying in the busy wartime skies of Orkney during World War 2 and are buried on the other side of the world from their homes.  Photos of the visit and brief details of the pilot Lloyd Johnson, on whose grave the wreath was laid, can be seen using the link below.
