A new plaque was added to the Sanday War Memorial before Remembrance Sunday this year.  Photos of the memorial and plaque were provided to the website by the Sanday Ranger, Rod Thorne.  Secretary of Sanday RBL, Tony Lee, provided much background information on Blair Wood's wartime story.  Blair's sister, Eileen Stevenson, provided wartime photos of him, while record books of 227 Squadron RAF were downloaded from the National Archives to give details of his war service.  Blair's biography has been added as a Word document to the Sanday section of the website, but can be downloaded direct as a pdf using the link below.
