Legion continue their darts dominance

Yet another busy week in the KDDL leagues, sponsored by Williamsons Butchers.
The Legion continued their dominance at the top of the A league with a sound 11-1 win over Shapinsay.
The Orkney Golf Club returned to form with two 9-3 victories over close rivals Commodores and Untouchables ‘A’.
Quoyburray ‘B’ crashed 4-8 to the Untouchables as they continued to keep a firm grasp on second spot.
However, later in the week, the Quoyburray ‘B’ lads just edged Shapinsay in a 7-5 thriller that lifted them out of the drop zone at the expense of Legion Arrows, whose match with Wanderers was postponed.
Meanwhile, over in the Masonic, Sanday comprehensively took apart the Warriors 10-2, with more ruthless finishing being the key.

For once there was no change at the top of the B league, with the Nomads keeping a tight hold of the number one slot, although Sanday ‘B’ made them work hard for a 7-5 win.
The Murray Arms and the Vikings played out a 6-6 draw, which keeps both teams in the promotion race but doesn’t really help either in the chase for the title.
The Muppets took advantage of Tankerness having the week off and overtook them in third spot with a solid 10-2 victory over Sands.
And finally the Bilco Boys leapfrogged Streamline in mid table by virtue of beating them 8-4.
This Friday, December 1, the B league doubles, a B league ranking competition, takes place in the Masonic, names by 7.30pm.
The following Friday, December 8, is the Festive Singles, which is set to take place in the Masonic, names by 7.30pm. It is also the night of the league prize draw, so please have all those tickets retured, sold or unsold.
