Legion stay in top spot

All three contenders for the Williamsons ‘A’ League title had identical wins. The Legion still lead on games difference after beating the Wanderers 9-3. The Golf Club also won 9-3 against Untouchables and they have a game in hand.

The Commodores were kept in third spot, one point behind, with a 9-3 defeat of Quoyburray.

There’s a change at the other end of the table as Quoyburray ‘B’ moved out of the relegation zone by winning their first game of the season 7-5 against the Sands ‘2’. They were replaced in second bottom spot by the Nomads, who went down 8-4 to RBLM.

Sanday had a narrow 7-5 win over the Untouchables ‘A’.

Only two results in from the Williamsons ‘B’ League — the Masonic and Motorhoose shared the points in a 6-all draw and Tankerness beat the Bilco Boys 9-3.

Team captains are reminded that all score cards must be handed into the Legion Club by noon on Saturdays. No cards no points.
