A narrow win over the Golf Club last Monday was enough to put the Untouchables 3 points ahead at the top of the Williamsons Butchers 'A' league. Defending champions the Legion moved into second place courtesy of a win over the Exiles whilst illness caused the postponement of the Sanday v Bilco Boys match.
Tankerness came out on top in the battle of the top two in the 'B' league, destroying the Muppets in what appears a very one sided match. The Murray Arms took advantage to move into second place after a draw with Vikings in a rearranged game and a big victory over Shandy Bass. Sands, Quoyburray and the Young Loons remain within close distance of the promotion spots.
The first of this season's 'B' Ranking competitions, the Albyn Video Games Shield, was contested in the Legion on Friday night, drawing 25 competitors all hoping to stake a claim for a place in the 'B' county squad.
The semi-finals saw Erlend Lennie beating George Low and Lee MacPherson winning over Aaron Mitchell.
The final was an evenly matched affair which could have swung either way, but it was Erlend who emerged victorious, winning by 5 legs to 3.
