Might be something like a "missing" link between the former click or clack mills like Dounby (or more familar examples of the old Shetland mills) and the bigger estate mills like the Barony Mill or Tormiston (or Weisdale und Quendale in Shetland) ...
Fascinating document for industrial develeopment and changes ... ;-)
