Jimmy o Sandsdale

Another photo o Jimmy o Sandsdale this I think would have been taken after Jessie Ann his sister died, as the girl in the photo is Vera Johnston who went to look after "Jimsey" after Jessie Ann died.

What a lovely peedie hoose they had, is this no jist like whit whur folk lived in bygone days, simple living and a tune on the fiddle tae pass the time in the evening ,Are we having a better life today I jist winder!

Time around 1960?

I think that their father was lost with the "Maggie" in the Westray Firth when they were little children.

Happy memories of visiting Anna, Jimmy (Plum) and their baby Pauline when they lived there later on. Cosy peedie house. Dad had to go in and root Jimmy out a time or two in the morning. No clocking in wae the county boys. Jock Stout had to root us out one time as well when we slept in.
