SS Earl Thorfinn at North Ronaldsay pier

SS Earl Thorfinn at North Ronaldsay pier, on a day excursion trip from Kirkwall in August 1960. Note the creels along the full length of the seawall. This is before the pier was extended by P A Sutherland.

Comments:
I always thought the reason for scrapping the Thorfinn which was in better condition then the Sigurd was because she couldn't berth at Ronaldshay. The sad bit is I dont remember that day at all.
